Hey guys! I am giving away free banners and logos to my readers for their sites and/or blogs. The opportunity is available to everyone at my other blog (PTC Dollars). Finding the best templates online

I have seen that people are still using those old and boring blogger templates. It's time to get creative people and look for something new. There are thousands of sites online that offer great Web 2.0 style templates for blogger. Here is a list of site that you cannot afford to miss.

eBlogTemplates - This is one of my favorite sites. It has a professional look and lots and lots of templates designed by professionals for free. My favorite is a template called Ads Theme.

JackBook - This is another great site to look for free templates. It's own layout is not very attractive but it has some really good templates for readers to download!

These two sites are all you need to get great attractive templates. I will be posting more links later for you to use. Also, if you have any problems with adjusting the template then you can post a comment here or at the original site for quick help!

Getting a higher Page Rank

What is PageRank? It's a tool that Google uses to rate individual sites. New sites take few weeks to obtain their rank. The PageRank varies from 0 to 10 and 10 is the highest.

PageRank can be increased through several ways. First of all, it is a good idea to exchange links with other blogs and websites of same topic as your website. Each exchanged link counts as a vote for your site and helps to boost your PageRank.

Besides that, you should also submit your website to several web directories to get a better search engine listing. Most of the directories are free and do not require you to have a reciprocal link.

Finally, you should use Google's webmaster tools to get your website listed in Google's search engine. This will help people find your site and thus you will get more traffic which will increase your PageRank.

PTC - Paid to Click

These are called PTCs and they pay you to click on ads and view them for around thirty seconds. PTCs is used by two types of people - Advertisers and Members. Anyone who wants to advertise their sites will open an account on PTCs as an advertiser and pay a specific amount of money to PTCs. The PTCs will display these ads and pay their members to click on them. Thus, the advertisers end up getting traffic, the members get some money and the PTC gets the commission.

Each PTC has its own Terms of Service (TOS) and rates. Most PTCs pay their members one cent per click and provide them with approximately 10-20 ads per day. This may not seem enough at first but almost all of the PTCs have referral programs where they pay their members to refer other people. Members are not paid instantly to refer other members. Instead, you will earn some percent of what your referrals make. Thus, in order to benefit from this referral program, you need to refer active members. Some sites offer their members 100% referral earnings while other only offer 50-60%.

New Gmail feature!!!

I just realized that something was different about GMail...maybe you guys realized it too. When I logged into my gmail account, I saw a thin bar on the top left hand side and a bunch of text on the bottom right side of my computer screen. At first, I couldn't really see what it was but then I tried again and I was able to find out what the exact thing was.

The bar on the top right hand side was the progress bar showing me how much time is left till I get to see my inbox. It didn't really tell me the exact time left but hinted the percentage of completion. Also, on the bottom left hand side there was some text which allows users to change to basic HTML view if they are having problems with the current version.

I think these are great changes for users with slow internet connections. I have a fast dial-up connection at home so I don't mind but when I am in college and the interent is really slow, it takes ages for Gmail to load!

IPL - cricket or something else?

You guys must have definitely heard about IPL. It stands for Indian Premiere League and it just started in India. It's basically like county cricket played in England. In IPL, players from different countries come together to play cricket for Indian domestic teams. IPL faced several problems in the beginning and players were warned not to play for IPL by BCCI. But nonetheless, IPL got off to a great start - or at least it seems like to.

Many people and critics have blamed IPL for degrading cricket's value. IPL has been labeled more as entertainment than games. There are foreign cheerleaders, actors/actresses publicizing through music videos and even players are getting slapped on the field.

However, still people continue to like and support IPL because it's simply fun to watch and a way to relieve tension.

Tashan - major disappointment

Now, I haven't seen Tashan yet but I have heard that it's a major flop everywhere. In fact figures are suggesting that it might be Yash Raj's worst nightmare! For those who don't know, Tashan is a multi-starrer featuring Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar. Most viewers have reported that the film has good songs and great locations but it is the story that is to be blamed for the film's disastrous collections at the box office.

If you are a Kareena Fan then I suggest that you definitely watch this movie only to see Kareena turn the heat on in a skimpy two piece bikini. It is said that Kareena went on an extreme diet to look like that. Well, I don't know if it was worth it...she turned into a stick!

After all that I have heard from others, I might not watch this movie but since there has been a lot of hyped involving Tashan, I might give it a try.

Movie Review: Om Shanti Om

Synopsis:
Om (Shahrukh Khan) is a junior artist of the 70s while Shanti (Deepika) is a superstar. Both are miles apart from each other but eventually they meet and both become good friends. Om falls in love but his heart is broken when he finds that Shanti is secretly married to a producer (Arjun Rampal).
Shanti wants to make her marriage public while Arjun Rampal wants to be rich and famous by completing his dream project Om Shanti Om. Arjun try to explain to Shanti that if their marriage comes into public his dream project would be ruined and he would come on roads. But Shanti refuses to be convinced and as it happens Arjun ends up killing Shanti and the project Om Shanti Om is closed.
Meanwhile, Shahrukh finds out everything about Arjun's intentions to kill Shanti. He tries to save her from burning but fails and ends up dying himself.
Minutes after Om dies, a kid is born in a famous star's home. Reincarnation...
What follows is the execution of the reincarnated Om's plan to get Arjun behind bars for killing Om and Shanti.

Now let's get to the point. Om Shanti Om is a pure masala flick...nothing special or meaningful. It's a complete waste of money. First of all, Om Shanti Om is a pure remake of Shubash Ghai's Karz. If you haven't watched Karz then wait for it's remake of the same name starring Himesh.

Shahrukh's acting is terrible, making one ponder how an actor goes from movies like Chak De India to Om Shanti Om. The only actor who deserves praise is Arjun Rampal for his villainous role. He is brilliant in the movie. Deepika is good for her debut performance.

Om Shanti Om's music is probably it's strongest point. Songs like Jag soona soona and Ajab si are magical and consistent with the story. There are some funny scenes in the movie but nothing more. Apart from that the movie has nothing to offer.

Synopsis:
Aditya (Shahid Kapoor), an industrialist, is depressed as his girlfriend is getting married to someone else. Due to depression, instead of going home, he ends up boarding a train at night.

He meets Geet (Kareena Kapoor) in the train. Geet is a very talkative but beautiful girl from Bhatinda. She starts talking to Aditya and tell him about her plans of running away with her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Aditya simply ignores her.
Irritated by Geet, Aditya decides to leave the train at a station. Geet tries to get Aditya back on the train but as fate would have it both end up missing the train and stranded on a small local station.

Geet blames Aditya and forces him to take her home. Thus, begins the journey of two completely different strangers. During the journey, the two become close friends. When the two reach Bhatinda, Geet invites Aditya to stay for some time. Few days later, the two of them end up running from the house to get Geet to her boyfriend in Manali. When the duo reach Manali, Aditya takes Geet's leave and returns back to his life.

Aditya's business starts to grow and he launches a calling card called Geet nine months later. When Geet's family sees Aditya launching the card on tv, they track him immediately and
demand to see Geet. Aditya is shocked to find that Geet hasn't returned home for nine months. He promises Geet's family to return their daughter in ten days.

Aditya visits Geet's boyfriend (Anshuman) in Manali and is shocked to find that Anshuman and Geet are not married. Anshuman explains to Aditya that he rejected Geet's proposal to runaway and get married so soon. Disappointed, Aditya sets to track down Geet.

He ends up finding her in a Himalayan town and asks her to come back to Bhatinda. At first, Geet refuses but Aditya eventually convinces her. As the two are about to reach Bhatinda, Anshuman catches up with them and asks Geet for forgiveness. Geet is torn between her love for Aditya and Anshuman. Aditya tells Geet to accept Anshuman's apology and take him to Bhatinda. Geet's dilemma regarding Aditya and Anshuman shapes the remainder of the story.

After reading the review, one might think: Is this a remake of the popular hits like Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin and several other movies where two complete strangers fall in love and end up marrying each other after conquering their differences? Well you are right. This IS the main plot of the movie but it's the tiny details in between that make this movie interesting.

Even though Jab We Met's story bears resemblance to other films, you end up having a fresh experience after watch the movie.

Shahid gives one of his best performances in this movie as Aditya. Kareena Kapoor is brilliant as an irritating, talkative and enjoying-life-to-the-fullest girl. However, she may have overacted in some scenes.

Imtiaz Ali deserves a lot of praise for his direction. The movie is very well executed and flows at it's own pace depending on the scenes.

Pritam composes some of 2007's best songs. All of the songs are a treat to the ears and are accurately placed in the movie.

Overall, this is a fun family entertainer. Be sure to watch it.
